What is Fresh?

Fresh was set up in 2005 when Lisa Sutherland recognised the potential for a new kind of PR agency, one that used remote working and mobile technology to negate the need for a fixed office location.
From years working at national PR firms, Lisa identified two main concerns raised by clients: Lack of seniority and experience in their team, and inflated fees to pay for prime office locations. To overcome these Lisa created an entirely new PR company model focussed on three core objectives; to maximise talent, minimise overheads and maintain flexibility.

With Fresh, Lisa has brought together some of the best communications professionals from across the industry. The team work remotely but are constantly in touch and regularly get together in London, Bristol or Cornwall. Clients benefit from a hand-picked team of senior specialists managing their account but fees remain competitive due to the unique business model.

How we work

Fresh delivers national programmes across the UK and has regional expertise across the South West of England. We work strategically with clients to deliver consumer and trade media campaigns with specific expertise in corporate communications, press office management and stakeholder engagement.

National clients have included household brands such as Sky and Oak Furniture Land, delivering strategic communications advice and programmes. We also work with national charities such as The Fawcett Society, Gingerbread, Birthrights and the Women’s Budget Group. This activity includes handling pro-active and reactive media relations and managing 24/7 press office on behalf of clients, handling enquiries from national and regional print and broadcast media.

Business to business clients include Bristol Uniforms, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fire-fighter uniforms, and Ignition Credit, an asset finance company specialising in support for small and medium sized businesses.

We also work with social enterprises and high-growth, challenger brands who dare to be different with new products and services. These have included:

The Wave, a pioneering project looking to create a surfing lake within botanical gardens on the outskirts of Bristol. We launched the concept, managed community engagement around a successful planning application and supported initial investment activity

WITT, a revolutionary device which converts motional energy into electricity. We helped them achieve a record equity raise via crowdfunding

Higher Newham Farm & Village near Truro, a revolutionary concept in housing development that brings together families, food and farming to create a new community. We devised a communications strategy and managed community relations.

Mission statement
