The Challenge

Part of being market leader is about talking as a market leader on key industry issues and being able to communicate forward-thinking opinions on the subjects that matter to customers and partners alike.   Our job was to secure quality editorial opportunities with the key property media and deliver insightful, informative pieces that would resonate with readers.

The Activity

Working with key executives at Sky Homes, we identified the hot topics for focus – those that would be most relevant to the business and have the greatest traction in the media. We then pitched and secured in-depth, double page spread articles in all the main titles on our target list. As this work gained momentum, we found that a good number of publications were coming to us to comment on key issues and requesting articles from Sky Homes on a variety of relevant topics.

The Outcome

  • 9 double page spread articles bylined to a Sky Homes executive across a 12 month period (March 16-March 17)
  • Secured quality thought leadership pieces in all our tier one media including:
  • The articles focused on technology and innovation in home entertainment and on future-proofing new properties, whether for sale or build-to-rent. As part of the articles, we often used high profile case studies of Sky Homes’ partnerships with new build developers and fibre companies
  • A particular article prompted an invitation for Sky Homes to take part in an ITN film ‘Foundations for the Future’ on the main issues impacting the house building industry. The film was showcased at UK Construction Week in 2016.
